STICHTING ICMA

The Dutch foundation, or Stichting as its known, has been a unique tool since its implementation in Dutch law in 1956. Being the structure of choice in the Netherlands and across Europe for decades, its use for financial institutions, institutional investors, private equity, business consultancy and law firms has become more apparent. Although there are several other foundation models to be found in common law jurisdictions and Anglo-Saxon law trust vehicles that share some of its features, the unique Dutch foundation legal framework and its distinct characteristics make it a top choice for transactions involving orphan structures and is an important structuring instrument for the capital market.

CAPITAL

Angel investors, investment banks, grant and family offices are distinct providers of funds, with angels being wealthy individuals funding early stage startups and scaleups, VCs investing other people’s wealth into high-growth potential companies, investment banks providing financial services to established businesses, and family offices managing the assets of wealthy families, often with a direct investment arm. Grant providers are there to advice and support in acquiring the correct European grant, and legal obligations.

FUNDING

The Dutch department of Stichting icma “icma docs” plays a key role in our success! They focus primarily on the process of writing official business documents, memorandums and feasibility studies. This process requires necessary knowledge, skills and experience. It is also a time intensive process involving an accountant, writer and European solicitor. Our Dutch team of highly skilled professionals writes your legal document with high precision.
